Client Management

Tillage's client management system helps you organize contacts, track relationships, and maintain professional client records throughout the quote-to-cash workflow.

Client Profiles

Each client in Tillage includes:

Basic Information

  • Company name - Client's business name
  • Industry - Business sector
  • Company size - Small, medium, large, enterprise
  • Business type - B2B, B2C, nonprofit, etc.
  • Website - Client's website URL
  • Address - Physical location

Notes

Keep track of important details:

  • Project history
  • Communication preferences
  • Internal notes about the relationship
  • Special requirements or considerations

Client Logo

Upload client logos for:

  • Professional quote headers
  • Contract documents
  • Invoice branding

Multiple Contacts

Each client can have multiple contacts:

Contact Details

  • First and last name
  • Job title/role
  • Email address
  • Office phone
  • Mobile phone
  • Fax (if needed)

Primary Contact

Designate one contact as primary:

  • Default recipient for quotes and invoices
  • Used in smart variable replacements
  • First point of contact

Contact Roles

Track who does what:

  • Decision maker
  • Project manager
  • Billing contact
  • Technical contact

Adding Clients

Manual Entry

  1. Go to Clients > Add Client
  2. Enter company information
  3. Add at least one contact
  4. Save

Import from Harvest

  1. Settings > Integrations
  2. Connect Harvest account
  3. Click "Import Clients"
  4. Review and confirm import

Harvest import includes:

  • All client records
  • Contact information
  • Automatic duplicate detection

Import from CSV

Upload a spreadsheet with client data (coming soon).

  • Total quoted

Document History

Client Status

Organize clients by status:

  • Active - Current clients with ongoing work
  • Inactive - Past clients or paused relationships
  • Prospect - Potential clients (quoted, not yet signed)

Client Merging

Combine duplicate client records:

  1. Identify duplicates
  2. Select primary record
  3. Merge data from secondary
  4. History preserved from both

Useful when:

  • Same client imported from multiple sources
  • Duplicate entries created accidentally
  • Company name changed

Auto-Payment Settings

Configure automatic payment preferences per client:

Consent Levels

  • Never - Client always pays manually
  • Recurring only - Auto-pay subscriptions
  • All invoices - Auto-pay everything

Safety Limits

  • Set maximum auto-pay amount per invoice
  • Prevents unexpected large charges
  • Client controls their limit

Consent Tracking

Records when and how consent was given:

  • Consent date
  • IP address
  • How consent was provided
