This Privacy Policy describes how Empowered Labs LLC ("Tillage", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our quote-to-cash platform and related services.

By using Tillage, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation and Definitions

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Account means a unique account created for you to access Tillage or parts of our Service.

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "Tillage", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Empowered Labs LLC, operating at tillage.ai.

  • Cookies are small files placed on your computer, mobile device or any other device by a website, containing details of your browsing history on that website.

  • Country refers to: United States

  • Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, cellphone or digital tablet.

  • Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

  • Service refers to the Tillage platform, including the marketing website (tillage.ai), web application (app.tillage.ai), and all related services for quote generation, contract management, invoicing, and payment processing.

  • Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of the Company. This includes third-party companies or individuals employed by Tillage to facilitate the Service, including but not limited to Stripe (payment processing), Postmark (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database infrastructure), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI-powered quote generation).

  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically through use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, duration of a page visit, features used, invoices created).

  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service.

Information We Collect

Personal Data

While using Tillage, we may ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you, including:

  • Email address
  • First and last name
  • Company name and business information
  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe)
  • Client contact information you enter into the platform
  • Phone number (optional)

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service and may include:

  • Your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address)
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages of our Service that you visit
  • Time and date of your visit
  • Time spent on pages
  • Unique device identifiers
  • Quotes, invoices, and contracts you create
  • Payment transactions and financial data
  • Integration usage (Harvest, QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Project and client data used for AI-powered quote generation

Payment Information

When you process payments through Tillage, we use Stripe as our payment processor. Payment information (credit card numbers, bank account details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe and is not stored on Tillage servers. We receive only transaction metadata necessary to provide the Service (amounts, dates, status).

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and store certain information. We use:

  • Essential Cookies - Required for authentication and core platform functionality
  • Analytics Cookies - To understand how you use Tillage and improve our Service
  • Preference Cookies - To remember your settings and preferences

You can instruct your browser to refuse all Cookies or to indicate when a Cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept Cookies, you may not be able to use some features of Tillage.

How We Use Your Personal Data

Tillage uses Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service - Including quote generation, contract creation, invoice management, and payment processing
  • To manage your Account - Registration, authentication, and account management
  • To fulfill contracts - Processing payments, generating invoices, and managing client relationships on your behalf
  • To contact you - Service updates, security notifications, billing information, and customer support
  • To provide customer support - Responding to your requests and troubleshooting issues
  • To improve our Service - Analyzing usage patterns and developing new features
  • For compliance - Meeting legal obligations, tax requirements, and financial regulations
  • With your consent - Any other purpose with your explicit consent

Sharing Your Personal Data

We may share your personal information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers - Stripe for payments, Postmark for emails, Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database infrastructure, OpenAI and Anthropic for AI-powered features, and other providers necessary to operate Tillage
  • With AI Services - When you use AI-powered quote generation, project and client data may be sent to OpenAI or Anthropic to generate quotes. This data is processed according to their respective privacy policies and is not used to train their models
  • With Your Clients - When you send quotes, invoices, or contracts through Tillage
  • For legal compliance - When required by law or to protect our rights
  • With Your consent - Any other sharing with your explicit permission

We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Retention

Tillage retains your Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy:

  • Active accounts - Data is retained while your account is active
  • Closed accounts - Data is deleted within 90 days of account closure
  • Backups - Data in backups is retained for 90 days

You may request deletion of your account at any time through our contact page. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data subject to legal retention requirements.

Data Security

The security of your Personal Data is critical to us. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive data
  • Regular security audits
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Secure payment processing through PCI-compliant providers

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Tillage does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.

Tillage integrates with and uses third-party services including:

  • Stripe - Payment processing
  • Postmark - Transactional email delivery
  • Vercel - Website and application hosting
  • Supabase - Database infrastructure
  • OpenAI - AI-powered quote generation
  • Anthropic (Claude) - AI-powered quote generation
  • Harvest - Time tracking integration (optional)
  • QuickBooks & Xero - Accounting integrations (optional)

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies when connecting your accounts.

AI Services

When you use Tillage's AI-powered quote generation features, project details, scope, and client information may be sent to OpenAI or Anthropic to generate accurate quotes. Important notes:

  • Not used for training - Your data is not used to train AI models (per OpenAI and Anthropic's business customer agreements)
  • Processed securely - Data is transmitted over encrypted connections
  • Temporary processing - AI services process your data only to generate the quote, then discard it
  • You control it - AI features are optional and you can choose not to use them

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
  • Updating the "Last updated" date
  • Sending an email notification for material changes
