Dashboard and analytics

Read your receivables, revenue, recurring revenue, receivable aging, forecasts and quote stats, and know exactly what each number counts.

Tillage reports on your business from the invoices, quotes and billing schedules you already have, so there’s nothing to set up. This page explains where each report lives and exactly what goes into each number.

All dates use your team’s time zone. Amounts use your team’s currency.

Where to find reports

Dashboard

Receivables

  • Outstanding: the total of invoices that are Issued or Late, with the number of open invoices.
  • Overdue: the total of invoices with the Late status.

Revenue counts only invoices marked Paid, using the invoice total and the date it was paid. Fees your clients paid at checkout aren’t included, and refunded invoices drop out.

Revenue

  • Month to Date: paid this month, compared to the same days last month.
  • Year to Date: paid since January 1, compared to the same period last year.

Momentum

  • MRR: the total of your monthly billing schedules. See Recurring revenue.
  • Rolling 12mo: revenue paid in the last 12 months, compared to the 12 months before that.

Receivable aging

Receivable Aging splits unpaid issued invoices by how far past due they are:

Bucket Includes
1-30 days Not yet due, or up to 30 days past due
31-60 days 31–60 days past due
61-90 days 61–90 days past due
91+ days More than 90 days past due

The bar shows each bucket’s share of the total. It appears once you have unpaid issued invoices.

Year to date

  • New Clients: clients added this year, with the change from the same period last year.
  • Quote Conversion: the share of decided quotes that were won. A quote counts as won once it’s Approved, Contracted or Invoiced. Drafts and quotes still waiting on the client aren’t counted.
  • Pending Quotes: quotes sent or viewed and still waiting for a response.
  • Time Saved: an estimate of 3.5 hours saved for each quote created this year.

Pipeline and activity

Pipeline lists money in progress: Pending Quotes, Draft Invoices, Outstanding, Monthly Recurring and Overdue. Each links to the matching list.

Recent Activity shows recent payments, quote views and invoice sends. Recent Invoices and Recent Quotes show your latest five of each, with View All links.

New teams see a setup checklist on the dashboard until the basics are done.

Revenue analytics and forecasts

On Invoices → All Invoices, the Revenue Analytics card has five views:

Tab Shows
Monthly Revenue for each month this year, with a forecast for the months ahead.
YTD Cumulative revenue this year, with a year-end forecast.
Rolling A trailing total for each month. Choose 3M, 6M or 12M.
Annual Total revenue by year.
YoY Each year’s cumulative revenue on one chart, to compare growth pace.

How the forecast works

Forecasts add up money you expect to collect, by month:

  • Unpaid issued and late invoices, by issue month
  • Payments in progress, such as bank transfers still processing
  • Draft and scheduled invoices, by issue month
  • Upcoming invoices from your billing schedules, for months that don’t already have one

Past-dated or undated drafts, and older unpaid invoices, are counted in the current month. A schedule’s invoice is counted once, never both as a schedule amount and as an invoice. The forecast is a guide to what’s in the pipeline, not a prediction of what clients will pay.

Recurring revenue

Invoices → Billing Schedules shows MRR and ARR for your schedules, each compared to the same month last year, along with an MRR and ARR trend chart.

Both count active schedules, recurring invoices and payment plans alike, that have reached their first issue date:

  • MRR is the total of schedules billed Monthly. Other frequencies aren’t converted into MRR.
  • ARR annualizes every schedule, whatever its frequency:
Frequency Counts toward ARR as
Weekly amount × 52
Monthly amount × 12
Quarterly amount × 4
Biannual amount × 2
Annually amount

For example, a $1,200 monthly retainer plus a $6,000 annual hosting plan gives MRR of $1,200 and ARR of $14,400 + $6,000 = $20,400.

Paused, completed and draft schedules aren’t counted in the totals. The trend chart also shows draft schedules from their first issue date onward, and cancelled schedules up to the month they were cancelled.
